Bronco Performance

2021 Ford Bronco Engine SpecsThe Bronco’s base engine is a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four that delivers 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The upgraded engine is a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The two engines use a 10-speed automatic transmission, but an optional seven-speed manual transmission is available for the four-cylinder.

For off-road prowess, the Bronco features a low-range crawler ratio, 35-inch mud-terrain tires, electronic locking front and rear differentials, and a four-wheel-drive system. These features aid the Bronco in some impressive off-roading capability, including fording through 33.5 inches of water and a maximum ground clearance of 11.6 inches for improved breakover, approach, and departure angles. It can also tow up to 3,500 pounds.

Bronco Space and Comfort

You can select between a two-door model or four-door model and a hardtop or soft-top convertible model. The Bronco also has removable body panels and side mirrors attached to the body, so it’s legal in its open-air form. The doors and body panels can be stowed within the cabin.

Numerous features make the Bronco more convenient and durable in off-road environments, such as easy-to-clean rubber flooring and marine-grade upholstery. If you prefer, you can opt for leather upholstery and some upmarket touches. Other features include trail sights to determine your space on narrow trails, which double as tie-downs with a capacity of 150 pounds.

Bronco Technology and Safety

The Bronco comes with the user-friendly SYNC® 4 infotainment system and an 8-inch touchscreen in a handy spot in the center of the dashboard. This system has a straightforward menu that connects to Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphones for media and entertainment. You’ll also have the option for a subscription-based Wi-Fi hot spot for constant connectivity. Several options are available, including navigation and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Several safety features are on the offer, including lane-departure warning and lane-keep assist, a combination of features that alert you when you move out of your chosen lane on the highway and guide you back into place. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also available, which alert you to vehicles and pedestrians in your path when you change lanes or back up. Another optional feature is a forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking, a feature that alerts you to possible crashes and applies the brakes.
