2021 Ford Transit Connect Mt Airy MD

2021 Ford Transit Connect at Century Ford

The Ford Transit Connect is America's best-selling small van for a reason. It comes with a ton of up to date technology, versatility, and comfort that consumers love, plus a few fun surprises. The Transit Connect is available as both a cargo van and a passenger wagon and can accommodate seven passengers. With three trims levels, there is something here for everyone, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen that is available on all trims. There is even a Wi-Fi hotspot that is capable of supporting up to ten devices. If you are looking for a ton of safety features, the Transit Connect has you covered with systems such as Automatic Emergency Braking and Pre-Collision Assist. There is a lot to talk about with the Ford Transit Connect. Continue reading as we give you all the details.

TECHNOLOGY FOR CONFIDENCE ON THE ROAD

Available Forward And Reverse Sensing Systems

If your vehicle is in Drive and moving slowly, forward sensors will sound a high-pitched beeping tone if something is there in front of you. The beeps will become more rapid as you approach an object, and within 12 inches, they become a solid tone. The sensors turn off when you put your vehicle in Park or Neutral. The Reverse Sensing System works the same way, using sensors in the rear bumper.

Side-Wind Stabilization

Standard side-wind stabilization technology is designed to help reduce driver stress while operating a vehicle in high winds. The system monitors the sensors, and if a strong wind gust is detected, it carefully applies the brakes on one side to help the driver stay in his/her lane. It works alongside Roll Stability Control™ on slippery surfaces – to help avoid skids, lateral slides, and potential vehicle rollovers.

SAFETY FOR YOUR ACTIVE LIFESTYLE

Side-Curtain Airbags

The side-curtain airbags deploy downward and outward toward the side-window opening to protect the heads of front passengers. Roll-fold technology helps the airbag slide between the glass and the occupant as the airbag inflates. The airbags will not interfere with properly installed child-safety seats or booster seats and are designed to stay inflated longer for added protection in a rollover.

HID Headlamps

In the Automatic position, the available high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps automatically turn on in low-light situations or when the wipers are activated. Standard on Titanium and available on XLT.

MAKING IT EASY TO JUST GO AND DO

Dual Sliding Side Doors

All 2021 Transit Connect Passenger Wagon models have standard dual sliding side doors to help make it easier to load or unload passengers or cargo. And with a low step-in height of under two feet, getting in and out is a breeze.

Cargo Capacity

The load floor's height behind the front seats is less than two feet, and the maximum cargo height is 43.3 inches. With the rear seats folded, there are 106 cu. ft. of storage

VERSATILITY TO FIT YOUR LIFESTYLE

Available Swing-Out Rear Cargo Doors Or Liftgate

To suit your particular needs, Transit Connect Passenger Wagon models offer you the choice of 180-degree 50/50 swing-out rear cargo doors or a rear liftgate. Titanium only comes with a liftgate. Dual sliding side doors are standard.

Towing Capability

When the task at hand calls for towing, the Transit Connect comes through with a towing capacity of up to 2,000 lbs. when equipped with the Trailer Tow Prep Package*. Among its included features is trailer sway control linked to the technology of the standard AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™ ).
