What to Bring When You Buy


 

Century Ford, your Ford dealer in Maryland, can’t wait to get you into the driver’s seat of the new or used vehicle that you have always desired at a price that fits into your budget. No matter how much we want to serve you, however, we can’t if you don’t bring the proper paperwork you need to purchase a vehicle. Make sure you bring what you need so you can get the Ford near Frederick MD that you want the first time you visit Century Ford. Be sure you bring the following:

 

Valid Driver’s License - Your license must be issued by the same state where you’re registering your car. Military members are the exception, as any state is able to issue their licenses.

Up-To-Date Insurance Card - Your insurance card must have the name of whomever is buying the vehicle and whoever’s name is going on the title. The insurance card doesn’t have to be for your new car, truck, or SUV. It can actually be your current vehicle.

Up-To-Date Registration Card - This is applicable if you are trading in your vehicle and still have a lien against it or if you’re planning on transferring your current license plates to your new vehicle.

Title of Your Trade-In - This will only apply if you happen to be trading in a vehicle that doesn’t currently have a bank lien. Some states, such as Maryland, have two part titles, so make sure that you bring both parts. Don’t sign the title before you come into Century Ford, your Ford dealer in Maryland.

 

All Necessary Parties - Make sure that you bring everyone who needs to sign, including everyone on the trade title and anyone signing the bank loan paperwork, including co-owners and co-signers. Anyone on the title of your new car must be present as well.

 

Checkbook - If you’re making a down payment on your new vehicle, make sure you bring your checkbook. You should also bring your checkbook in if you have your own financing just in case you want to purchase one of the available extended service contracts.
