The rugged and off-road capable Ford Ranger is about to get a significant facelift in 2021. This year brings the Tremor off-road package to the Ranger, making the iconic pickup the most off-road ready Ranger ever created in the United States. The Tremor provides drivers with a new level of off-road capability without sacrificing the everyday drivability that makes the Ranger great. Each Ranger Tremor comes with a lifted suspension with off-road-tuned FOX™ 2.0 monotube dampers and rear piggyback reservoirs. There are also 32-inch all-terrain tires and a six switch auxiliary power pack to manage all the different accessories. Thanks to the wider tires, the Ford Ranger Tremor has a one-inch wider stance making it even more menacing. There is a ton to go over with the 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor. Answering the Call

Ranger drivers have been asking for an even more off-road capable and agile mid-size truck, and Ford has delivered. The all-new Ranger Tremor off-road package helps drivers tackle the rough terrain without compromising the Ranger's superior towing and payload capability. The Tremor package starts by giving drivers a lifted suspension, completely redesigned front knuckles, and best of all, 32-inch all-terrain tires that sit upon 17-inch Magnetic-painted wheels and deliver a whopping  9.7 inches of ground clearance. Also included are FOX 2.0 monotube with rear piggyback reservoirs and hydraulic rebound stops designed for a comfortable ride on the pavement while also handling challenging terrain. These shocks are precisely tuned with a progressive rebound end zone damping to support further control of the Ranger. 

Superior Off-Road Capability

The Ranger Tremor boasts quality off-road metrics, including a 30.9-degree approach angle and a 25.5-degree departure angle. When you compare the Tremor to the base Ranger the front suspension travel increases to 6.5 inches while the rear suspension travel increases to 8.1 inches. When you put these improvements together, it means that drivers can confidently tackle the rigors of the off-road with relative ease. Also included with the Ranger Tremor is a frame-mounted steel front bash plate, underbody skid plates, and a rear locking differential. You also get the Terrain Management System that includes four distinct drive modes and Trail Control. Additionally, the Tremors traction control has been recalibrated for improved acceleration and traction while driving on gravel so drivers can push the pedal down without issue. 

Everyday Utility

While the Ranger Tremor certainly has an exceptional off-road capability, you should also have no problem using the truck for everyday transportation. The Tremor maintains the Rangers smooth on-road ride and a 1,430-pound maximum payload and available 7,500-pound maximum towing capacity. This makes it easy for drivers to haul bikes, boats, and other gear easily. Drivers will also be able to enjoy other accessories such as winches, lights, and air compressors due to the Tremor's six-switch auxiliary power bank, which is mounted to the dash. There are also new design features both inside the cabin and out as the grille features a Magnetic-painted surround with black bars running across the middle. Simultaneously, the stylish interior has Miko suede inserts and “Tremor” stitched into the seatbacks. You also get black accents. The Tremor is powered by a tried and true 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that is capable of producing 270 horsepower and a best-in-class gas torque of 310 lb-ft, which pairs with a ten-speed automatic transmission.
