This version of the Explorer is also larger than the Journey GT. The width of the Explorer Sport is 78.9 inches, while the Journey is only 72.2 inches wide. The Explorer Sport measures in at a height of 71 inches but the Journey GT peaks at 66.6 inches. Which vehicle is longer? The 2018 Explorer Sport is 198.3 inches long while the 2018 Journey GT is 192.4 inches long.
